Description
p 131. While the tzaddik (righteious person) is greater after he dies, his death still brings tumah (spiritual impurity). Tumas meis (impurity of death) is not a physical or scientific state. A Jew cannot receive tumah from a non-Jewish corpse. In nature, there is no such thing as kedusha (holiness) and tumah. Whether we feel it or not, a terrible separation happens when an aveira (sin) is done. The real reason for doing mitzvos is beyond intellect. Our lack of understanding of how a system works does not affect its proper functioning. Something halachically prohibited is a distortion in Creation and thus is has negative effects.
