Description

p 122. If we do not release our potential through Torah and mitzvos, it will get stuck. A Jew is a highly refined and complex being. Torah and mitzvos help us to channel our kochos (powers) into kedusha (holiness). The Canaanites were worse than the Egyptians because they had a higher potential that sunk to a lower place. When I am doing a mitzvah, I am doing a G-dly act. The rewards for mitzvos is this world are called peiros (fruits). A mitzvah is designed to be done with zerizus (alacrity). Tzaddikim are not bound to time space like we are. It is possible to drag a mitzvah down into time and space by not doing it with zerizus and simcha (joy).
