Description

p 117. The Seven Mitzvos cannot satisfy the immense spiritual power of a Jew. Six represents netias (inclinations) that draw a person in different directions. Seven represents the central point of the six directions and the systematic whole. The more the world is running away from Shabbos, the more it is chasing after the physical. Geula (redemption) means returning from the extremes back to the center point. To understand something, we need to understand its opposite. The Seven Mitzvos guard against the perversion of the body, soul, and the holy faculty of speech. It is a pele (wonder) that the body and soul can exist together.
