p 94. Olam haBa (the World to Come) is waiting for us to fulfill the mitzvos (commandments). The reward is in proportion to the struggle. Each aveira (transgression) complicates our lives while mitzvos cleanse us. The Jewish people are invincible. The half-shekel donation to the Temple reminds us that we are connected to all of the Jewish people. When going through a yerida (spiritual descent) we should connect ourselves to strong Jews. The bris (covenant) that Hashem made with Avraham covers his ancestors. Each Jew is a vital piece in the machine of the Jewish people and must be drawn back in.
