Description

p 82. Ignoring the physical can lead to corruption through the physical. The negative mitzvos (commandments) keep the balance and help us live within reality. The Chassidic emphasis on the mikveh (ritual pool) helps balance the explosion of love that comes from Chassidus. Hashem counts the galus (exile) through years and the geula (redemption) through generations. Suffering is connected to time while tikkun (repair) is connected to people. Man himself is torn between the physical and spiritual. Women are more likely to achieve Olam HaBa (the World to Come) over men. The Rambam says that a person can attain Olam HaBa with just one mitzvah.
