Description
p 48. A Jew can only reach being a complete person with Torah and mitzvos (commandments). Doing mitzvos lift us above nature. Seven is the number of satiation while eight is the number of extra pleasure. When the geula (redemption) comes, our choices will be between levels of good, not between good and evil. An uncircumcised man is enslaved to the physical. Having kedusha (holiness) requires a struggle against baser inclinations. Through doing mitzvos we 'embrace the King', even if we do not feel we are embracing Him. Nature is a shaliach (messenger) in this world.
