p 40 Esav and Yishmael are the diametric opposite of what the Torah stands for. True chesed (giving) is giving to someone who is not deserving of chesed. The Jewish people are emotionally drawn to the avodah zara (idol worship) in each generation. The Persians and Yishmaelim (Arabs and Muslims) are considered as one in the trait of not having boundaries. Only the Torah can bring a person to shleimus (completeness). You can see who a person really is by whom he admires and praises. Esav and Yishmael have both a fascination and hatred for us since we have the same family root. Geirim (converts) are challenging to the Jewish people.
