Description

p. 36 Non-Jews are a part of the physical world and thus more comfortable here. The true home for a Jew is not in this world. The numbers seven, ten, and seventy are levels of understanding reality and our participation in reality. This world and all that is in it will never satisfy a Jew. A Jew asks how the world fits into Torah, not the other way around. The Torah can only be received by one who feels empty and feels the need for Torah. Yerushalayim and the Jewish people are small in this world, but big at their source. Every nation has its weakness from which all of its evil comes. Esav and Yishmael are rejected in the Torah itself, which is why the hate us and have created counterfeit versions of Yiddishkeit and Torah.
