Description

We will study the Mitzva of Zechirat Yetziat Mitzrayim, is this an independent mitzva unto itself to be counted in the minyan Taryag; or is it part of the Mitzva of Kriat Shema? If the latter is true we can understand why the Rambam omitted this mitzva in his counting of Taryag. This would explain why zechira requires the reading of an entire parsha in the Torah, i.e. parshas VaYomer. We will analyze the Halacha of not splitting a pasuk or a parsha, as this rule applies to Kriat Shema and Kriat HaTorah.
