Description
P. 100 in Raza D'Shabbos, Eliyah Weintraub, zt'l's piece on Eidus (Testimony) on Shabbos. The bracha of Shabbos is tosefet sechel (extra mind), an extra ability to understand, that brings the oneg that we will most fully experience when Moshiach comes. The three components of sechel are the thinker, the ability to think, and the subject that the thinker is thinking about. The two ways of thinking correspond to the name Hashem, meaning that all is one, and the name Elokim, that there is multiplicity in creation. Shabbos is a gilui (revelation) of the name Hashem, of emes (truth), of consistency. Every yesod of Shabbos is in Lecha Dodi. When Moshiach comes, we are not going to be schlepped around by the movements of this world. On Shabbos, nothing is broken, therefore nothing needs to be fixed. With the big tzaddikim, you can see how they live in the present.
