Vayachulu must be said standing and with two people, just like giving eidus (testimony) that Hashem created the world. A person who violates Shabbat is like giving false testimony. The ikar (main emphasis) of Shabbos is to reveal Hashem through the name Havayah. The unity and oneness of Hashem will be revealed in the 7th millennium. For 6,000 years, it appears that we humans are the big players, and that Hashem is hidden somewhere in the background. Every Shabbos, there is a revelation of what will be when Moshaich comes. During the week the powers of the nefesh go out, and on Shabbos, they come back in to their source in the nefesh. The creation can easily reveal Hashem and easily hide Hashem. Shabbos is about returning the machshava (thought) of creation, not the creating itself.
