Description
P. 92 in Raza D'Shabbos, Eliyah Weintraub, zt'l's piece on Davening on Shabbos. On Shabbos, the individual's tefillah (davening) is equal to the entire tzibbur (congregation). In our days, it is possible to see the totality of a person through one of his single DNA strands. Through one physical particle of man, you can see the totality of existence. Speech does not use the essential neshima (breath), but neficha (exhaling or blowing) does, which is the greatness of the neshama (soul) that was simply breathed into the body, not spoken into the body. To learn about what is hidden in the world, you have to learn about the neshama. The distance between the neshama and body is so far, that they have to be linked somehow - through the sechel (mind), who has to explain to the body how beautiful the neshama is. On Shabbos, Hashem stopped using speech, thus it is higher than speech.
