Description

PLEASE NOTE: THE LAST 4 MINUTES OF THE SHIUR WERE CUT OFF. WE'RE WORKING ON IT. Essay: "HaTeshuva Lo Shabbos Kodesh, Hakdama" - Raza D'Shabbos. P. 83 - Chochma, Bina (Tevuna), and Daas are three ways of understanding: receiving wisdom, dissecting it, then bringing it in to the self. Oneg is the deep inner sense of pleasure. Simcha is the illumination that comes out from the oneg and is expressed through singing and dancing. A chiddush brings oneg, and when the chiddush is fully explored and absorbed, simcha is the result. Yom Tov is this world, while Shabbos is a taste of Olam Haba. If you think about the unchangeable essence of being a Jew, you can derive tremendous simcha. P. 352 - There were tzaddikim who would do labors to prepare for Shabbos that they would not engage in during the week. The depth of the form of Adam is only revealed on Shabbos, thus erev Shabbos is the bridge from the Adam of dirt to the Adam of neshama.
