Description

62nd shiur based on Rav Avraham Tzvi Kluger's "Nezer Yisroel - HaTeshuva Lo Shabbos Kodesh, Hakdama - Raza D'Shabbos. P. 78 - Daas is the essence of a person. The bris mila (circumcision) gives us the ability to better distinguish between good and evil. On Shabbos, we can be deeply attached to the essence of tov (good) itself, and to the essence of the self. The main experience of Shabbos is the oneg (pleasure) of the seudos (meals). The Or Hachaim says that the world is round because everything is being pulled equally to dveykus (bonding) with Hashem. Without proper preparations, a person cannot receive and really feel Shabbos. A person can have a taste of, and hear the sound of who he really is on Shabbos. Shabbos is called the ra'ava d'ra'avin (will of wills), because it expresses Hashem's intention in Creation.
