The deep connection between Moshe, Aharon and Miriam to the mun, clouds of glory and well. The generation of the midbar (desert) could only become the dor de'ah (generation of knowledge) because of Moshe Rabeinu (our teacher), the source of Am Yisrael's (Jewish nation's) understanding for all generations. Two opposite components of the ko'ach (ability) of da'as (understanding) - connecting and separating. A person without da'as has difficulty acting appropriately in many settings, because he as a lack of boundaries.
