Razah D'Shabbos - P37 - Essay: Petichas pnimius ha'adam beShabbos. Shabbos is the day of the neshamah (soul), and not of the body, and since the body is forced to rest, we are able to reconnect to the mekor chaim (source of life). The preordained pairing of Shabbos and Knesses Yisrael (the Jewish nation). Neither Shabbos nor the nishmas chaim (soul of life) are subject to our conecpt of death - both are eternal. On Shabbos we can taste what our life is supposed to be about. We thus desire to move from the six days of the week to Shabbos; but how do we do that? A continuing holiness of motza'ei Shabbos - the great importance of the Melaveh Malkah meal and zmirot (songs).
