Da'as (knowledge) has the two opposing forces of separation and connection. The degree of a person's connection to something (or someone) depends on how much pleasure he can derive from it. Different funtions of da'as during the week and on Shabbos. The delight of Shabbos is to be able to take the good we have selected (separated) during the week and to connect ourselves to it. Eating is a time of dimyonos (delusion). The quality of our learning on Shabbos is completely different from that of the rest of the week. The dissimilar goals of learning nigleh (revealed Torah) and nistar (hidden Torah). When Torah study causes our faces to shine. A talmud chacham (Torah-learned person) is shabbosdig all week long.
