Razah D'Shabbos - P 23 (of the introduction) During the six days of creation each weekday was paired with another weekday. Why is it that Shabbos, especially, is connected to emunah (faith)? The human being - a reflection of how Hashem guides the world. Two hanhagos (ways) in which Hashem guides the world - the end and the means. Tastes of yichud (oneness of) Hashem in this world along the way towards the ultimate yichud. Purim is one of the deepest tachlis (ultimate purpose) stops - although we are allowed to work, we consciously avoid it. Hearing the bas kol (divine voice) of the etzem (essence) of Hashem, especially on Shabbos, when we refrain from the activities of the week.
