The expression 'Shavas Vayinafash' (He rested and was refreshed) is learned to read that all of the 'Vai's' (groans) of the nefesh (soul) go away. The strategy of dealing with evil during the week is warfare. On Shabbos we should not be hard on ourselves and we should be involved in teshuvah. The order of davening, which is praise, request, then thanks, we learn from Moshe davening to Hashem. The Ba'al Shem Tov's mashal (analogy) about relating to Hashem's greatness through the story of a peasant who insulted the king.
