Shabbos is everything. The Me'or Einayim asks: Why does it say that there are 40 [types] of melachah (labor) minus one (rather than just 39)? Could there possibly be something that is missing in Shabbos or in the King's palace? When Shabbos arrives and we enter Hashem's palace, nothing is missing on a spiritual and physical level. But the question is: Have all problems and difficulties really gone away when Shabbos arrives? The deaths of the Chidushei HaRim's children - and yet he was completely connected and enclothed in Shabbos.
