Description

Our decision to engage in teshuva (repentance) will generally be accompanied by the painful foreboding that we will never truly extricate ourselves from our sins. The pain we experience in the teshuva process should be a source of great joy. It is not enough to decide to perform good deeds, but rather we have to want to be good people. G-d promises that our feelings of regret will eventually be transformed into a stream of delight.
