Description

We should eat with the thought that it provides us with the energy to serve Hashem. After eating, we can do teshuvah for ourselves and others. A good heart is always engaged in a festive meal. A lot of times we’re doing something which should make us happy, but it doesn’t. Everything in the Megillah of Purim happens around meals. When a tzaddik eats, the nefesh (vital soul) is getting better. There’s a connection between the food you eat and your mood.
