Description
Besides learning the strict halachos of Chosen Mishpat (laws of social conduct) we must also learn the "tal of Torah" the dew of inner thoughts. We must learn the parts of Torah which gives us a feeling of d’veykus (closeness to Hashem). Inner Torah helps a person feel youthful exuberance we once had and enables us to appreciate the seemingly "dry" parts of Torah. We must feel that Hashem is sitting with us when we are learning. There must a balance between the learning of Gemara (Talmud) and the learning of halacha (laws).
