Description

Klal Yisrael is joined together by common interests but not by evil which is the opposite of our essence. The turmoil in Israel comes from Jews trying to be like the non-Jews. We have a responsibility to be concerned about the shmiras hamitzvos (observance level) of other Jews. Aveiros (sins) separate us from the soul of the nation of Israel. A misconception of Zionism has swept into the modern Orthodox schools. Our schools care more about Jewish identification, rather than stressing keeping of mitzvos. Teachers in religious yeshivas try to teach Torah while faced with the challenge of not saying anything too "frum" (religious).
