As long as a person's soul is darkened by averas (sins) it is impossible to gaze inward to access who we really are. Discussion of averas between Jews. Without teshuvah cannot see reality objectively. Teshuvah is a way of life - of living the experience of introspection. Trying to sustain teshuvah leads to light of understanding showing new ways to change.
