Description

As a result of teshuvah, we sense a constant feeling of guilt leading to a weakening of will. Guilt is good for us when it is combined with the feeling that Hashem loves us. As a ba'al teshuvah (a Jew returning to Hashem), we tend to completely erase our past without taking anything out of it. Feelings of negation should only fall on that which was wrong from our past. We constantly need to be sorting out the good qualities of our past and use them to serve Hashem.
