Description

Chet (sin) blocks the ratzon (will) for kedushah (holiness). The words ratzon and tzinor (conduit) have the same hebrew letters. Our essence is not our knowledge or character, but our ratzon. Jewish mothers give their children the ratzon to learn with a kiss or a note in their lunchbox. Travelling to Israel or to a wilderness trail unclogs the junk and lets the natural ratzon come out. A rebbe (teacher) needs to open the ratzon with singing, playing ball, saying a good word, and giving love. Rebbi Nachman of Breslov taught that life is like a song. A melody is powerful because it separates good notes from noise.
