Jewish leadership in communism, civil rights, and gay rights reflect a sensitivity to righteousness. Rav Kook was criticized for seeing "good" in secular Zionism. "Shift to the right" in social values is a reflection of a return to authenticity. Parental struggles with children who discover observant Judaism.
