Description

Rav Kook's Ma'amar al Pnimius HaTorah, Section 19. Who will raise the honor of the Jewish nation - who will determine the way we ourselves, and others see Knesses Yisrael. The Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel) talmidei chachamim' (learned) responsibility. Great concepts in the world which we take for granted. During the early twentieth century the whole world was looking for greatness while the Jewish nation was stuck in smallness. Losing the bigger picture because of the burden of daily living. Rav Kook's Zohar-based exhortation. Thinking, learning and working on our emunah (faith). Jews are capable of great things - we most reconginze that, appreciate it, and act accordingly. After the Holocaust, Hashem changed the way of the world from yirah (awe/fear) to ahavah (love). A detour past the shidduchim (matchmaking) and sepcial education crises. The whole world is active and moving along a host of issues, and we sit silently at the sidelines and are being left behind. A person can get sick from being unhappy.
