Rav Kook's Ma'amar "Al pnimius haTorah." p. 323, piece 11. Because of shiflus ha yadayim (weakness) people have ignored learning pnimius (inner) haTorah and have thus squeezed the bigness of Judaism into a dry halachic practice without a neshama (soul). Then there are those who completely get rid of the higher neshama, of even talking about or wanting to know Hashem. Life could be simpler if people learned the neshama of Torah. Those who withhold the light of Hashem by not teaching the soul of Torah are evil of heart. When Rabbanim come out with teachings to bring people closer to Hashem, there is always hisnagdus (opposition), usually irrational and emotional.
