Description
Perek 9, Piece 5. Much of being a Jew is finding the balance between being creative while also staying well-rooted in the tradition. Hashem gave all of us the power to mechadesh (to innovate) in the physical, emotional, and intellectual worlds. Avraham was truly creative. Where you find chiddushim (innovations), you find life. In the world of the intellect and emotions, there are avos (parents) - general principles, and toldos (offspring) - details. If you have to power of chiddush, use it for important things, yet do not ignore the small details. A healthy fear is needed in making chiddushim, to keep you within the guidelines of the Torah.
