Description
Learning Ramban's Introduction to the Chumash in order to understand Rav Kook's reference to the concept that the Torah is the names of Hashem. Rashi reveals the 72-letter name in his peirush (explanation) in Maseches (Tractate) Sukkah. A sofer (scribe) needs to know that he could destroy the world by adding or omitting a letter in the Torah. The Torah existed before the world was created. Any mistake in a Sefer Torah affects the Jewish People. The Sofrim were sensitive to counting letters, words, and verses in the Torah. Moshiach will reveal to us, on levels that we cannot imagine, how the Torah is all names of Hashem.
