Description

Yisrael' is the Jewish people when we're on top of the world. 'Yaakov' is the Jews in poverty. Yaakov would compare himself to his father and grandfather. We all have a shamayim (heaven) part of us and an aretz (earth) part of us. When we are weak in Torah, we are susceptible to the nations of the world. Nechama (comforting) means to give a person a reason to go on living. The Zohar says that the future Yerushalayim will be made of unbreakable Even Sapir (sapphire stone). Hashem is fixing Yerushalayim through our mitzvos. When a person does teshuvah b'ahava (returning to Hashem from love) Hashem shows him how everything had to be. Those who are cutting the fruits in Gan Eden are the holy kabbalists who reveal the secrets of Torah.
