Description

The three haftaros during the Three Weeks correspond to speech, hearing, and seeing. During the Three Weeks, we have the ability to end and defeat suffering. The seven haftaros of nechama (comfort) correspond to the seven lower sefiros. Anguish comes before bracha (blessing). The king rules with speech. Speech connects what always was to now. The first thought is connected to the final act. Amalek was the last nation created before Yisrael. Hearing something means to understand it. Of the ten expressions of prophesy, chazon (seeing) is the toughest. In suffering, seeing something is worse than hearing about it.
