With the acquisition of the name "Yisrael" a Jew can never affect the internal essence of his kedusha (holiness). In Parshas Vayishlach, Yaakov confronts Esav and the angel of Esav. Yaakov is injured and leaves limping but victorious. The limp is an indication of the indecision the future children of Yaakov will face in the world. The limp is temporary - the blemishes of the Jew can easily be removed. The blemish of Esav is permanent.
