Which oils or candles should we be lighting with on Shabbos and Chanuka? Are all oils equal in the eyes of the Halacha? Why does Rebby Yehoshua ben Levi prefer olive oil on Chanuka? Would his preference apply to Ner Shabbos as well? Or is there a specific reason that applies to Ner Chanuka only? Does the Halacha preclude the use of wax candles? Are all olive oils the same in Halacha? What about oil that has Kedushas Shvi'is? Can one appoint a shaliach to light on his behalf and if so, can the shaliach recite the berachot over the Chanuka candles?
