Description

p. 10 / number 11. How lucky we are to have been born Jewish. No effort in spirituality goes to waste- even if the goal was not realized at all. Not to be frustrated when it takes too long to understand an idea in learning, or when we are unsuccessful in carrying out our kabalos (spiritual undertakings). A positive outlook on prospective marriage partners that don't work out, or even marriages that fail. The great value of a mere thought of teshuva (repentance). When we try to climb in spirituality, we suddenly face countless obstacles. When we persevere despite obstacles, we are considered a korban (sacrifice). We all feel unsuccessful in our attempt to pray. All the slichos discuss the obstacles that stand in the way of our service to Hashem.
