It is destructive to contemplate aveiros (sins), even in a negative light. We should not even consider drinking wine or performing unholy actions. Kiruv (outreach) is dangerous because we expose ourselves to new aveiros. G-d doesn’t help the viceroy free the princess, because the viceroy is not truly ready. We should not despair because of failures; we should daven (pray) and persevere. Sometimes we need to hide.
