Description

The six strings of the throat correspond to the six sefiros (upper realms). Studying the 6 sections of Torah she b'al peh (oral law) rectifies the 6 strings of the throat. Torah she'bichsav (written law) corresponds to the voice. Torah she b'al peh corresponds to speech. With the written Torah alone we wouldn't be able to live as Jews. After the destruction of the Second Temple, torah she b'al peh began to flourish. Those who learn only to be able to sharpen their debating skills are on the side of klipah (shells- negative side). What is the litmus test to see if we are learning for the right or wrong reason?
