We tend to view G-d as our servant and we expect Him to be at our beck and call and to fulfill all our wishes. When someone experiences a great loss, he feel betrayed by G-d. We can truthfully act happy regardless of our mood because our neshama (soul) always wants to remain happy. When we experience a loss, we must trust that G-d has something much greater in store for us.
