Description

After he achieved his life's work merely by walking four amos in Eretz Yisrael, he immediately wanted to return home. He endured great suffering from an Arab that he described as the sitra achara (the evil angel). He had great joy from Rav Avraham Kalisker's scream on Shabbos which he described as 'great Torah'. He saved Teverya from a destructive informer, who subsequently became an admirer. From his prayer in great danger Rebbe Nachman learned that we should always daven with the following kavannah: We are hanging by a thin hair between heaven and earth and only Hashem can save us. When he left Eretz Yisrael with a boat of murderous Arabs, a great storm arose. He was forced to daven in the merit of the Ba'al Shem Tov and his boat was picked out of danger by a miraculous tornado.
