Description

Rebbe Nachman’s wondrous journey to Eretz Yisrael (the Land of Israel). Though boats did not usually travel from Istanbul to Eretz Yisrael at that time, Rebbe Nachman managed to find a boat through a miraculous turn of events. A terrible storm threatened to sink Rebbe Nachman’s ship, but Rebbe Nachman remained quiet and did not even daven (pray) for help. When the situation becomes absolutely hopeless, the only hope is to halt all hishtadlus (human efforts) and to completely submit to the will of G-d. In modern times we can not refrain from available hishtadlus, but we must daven with an understanding that everything is completely in the hands of G-d.
