Description

We hear a mysterious story about a person who repeatedly flies away with a tzaddik and is then suddenly returned home. Afterwards, we discuss the many lessons the story teaches us, as is summarized in the next few sentences. With proper emunah (belief) we would be able to find parnasah (livelihood) in our own home. After a tzaddik (righteous person) uplifts us, we mistakenly believe that we magically reach new heights in our service to G-d. However, we really have to endure hardships and humiliations until we can truly acquire a higher level of Judaism. When we feel like we are falling, we must remind ourselves how easily we can climb up again. When we feel accomplished, we must remember how far we are from our ultimate goal.
