The stories of tzadikim (righteous people) and reshaim (wicked people) often sound very similar. In order recount stories of tzadikim, we have to be able to discern between holiness and defilement. We should not confuse great baseball players with great people. Stories about tzadikim purify our thoughts, and help us develop a truer perspective of the world. A tefilah from Likutei Tefilos (magnum opus of prayers from Rebbe Nachman) on this topic.
