Description

The light of Chanukah cannot be contained in vessels. Yoseph represents yesod (foundation) which is the power to bring potential into reality. Hashem will bring the Jewish people back from being spiritually scattered. The time to work on guarding the holiness of the bris (circumcision) is during the darkest Jewish months of Teves and Shevat. A tzaddik (righteous Jew) comes up quickly from a spiritual descent. The light of Chanukah is so powerful that it can bring back Jews who are far away.
