R' Leible lived the Torah he taught. A true great leader never takes his worthiness for granted. We must constantly yearn for Hashem to choose us and give us strength each coming moment. What Hashem is really concerned with is the effort made to become chosen. True kiruv (coming closer to Hashem), whether with others or oneself, requires that each moment must be approached with freshness. Even if we realize that we are lacking, it is essential that these thoughts never lead to depression.
