Shlomo, his father, travels to Kotzk to see R’ Leible, and leaves infuriated. R’ Leible faces tremendous opposition from his father-in-law, until the Vorka Rebbe intercedes. R’ Leible, refusing to accept tzedakah, accepts a job traveling around Europe with a wealthy Kotzker Chassid. R’ Leible suffers the rest of his life due to an injury sustained while trying to live a life of kedusha (holiness) which reunited R’ Leible with his father-in-law.
