Description
P. 79. The essence of a person is where his mind is. The power of machshava (thought) is greater than all of the other senses. When a person has improper thoughts, he is being hurt by thinking and being in that place. Shmiras hamachshava (guarding thoughts) has always been a Jewish avodah. Many of us have minds that are always running around and we do not have yishuv hadaas (a settled mind). A technique to keep your mind on davening is to imagine yourself at the Kotel or any other holy place.
