Description

Based on the sefer, Divrei Chachamim B'Nachas by Rav Avraham Yitzchok Kluger (the author of the Nezer Yisroel). Embarking upon the path of acquiring a mahalch (way) in Chassidus to understand how an awakening fits into our avodas (service of) Hashem. Looking into the reality of being Jewish - practical actions and matters of the heart and inwardness. Although we teach our children to "do this, do that, say this, say that," as the child matures, we have to add the neshamah (soul) portion - to renew the strong bond between the child's neshamah and Hashem. It's not enough to teach actions, and much harder to talk about and convey the heart of Yiddishkeit: how to want, why to want, what to want. It's really only once we leave our parents' homes that we begin to pour more da'as (thought) into our mitzvos, into those things we have been doing our whole lives. Looking for pnimius (the sources) of why we do all the things we do. Ritualized Judaism or true love for and connection with Hashem? Hashem wants us to "know" Him, to understand Him.
