Even though the Jewish people are suffering, we still strengthen ourselves and serve Hashem. A kosher Jewish wife does her husband's will and also gives her husband desire and will. The letters of Torah are revealed to those who learn morning and night. Some parshios (portions) of the Torah seem to have dark content from our point of view, but are sweet to Hashem. The Torah is perfectly balanced. A chacham (sage) turns darkness into light.
